A
COMPANY SEMINAR ON HOW TO CHANGE
WHAT USED TO BE THE LOST YEARS OF
RETIREMENT
INTO
THE
BEST 20 YEARS OF YOUR LIFE
This seminar offers companies a
new approach to help their 50plus
personnel plan their next decade
with the company.
When we talk about retirement today,
we are talking about a life as long
as one's childhood and youth. In
broad terms most of us will have
had a childhood of some 20 years,
followed by a full-time working
life of some 35 years. Unlike our
parents we now have the chance to
create a third life of another 20
years.
The idea of ‘retiring' for
so many years, in the way that previous
generations did for just a few years,
no longer makes sense. The idea
of doing nothing for a couple of
years might bring happiness to some,
but doing nothing for another 20
years is obvious nonsense. Very
few people in the history of the
world have enjoyed a Third Act in
their life, but you can, and it
could be your best years.
This Seminar is a guide to your
Third Act. This is the Act, which
you begin usually in your fifties
and carry forward into your seventies,
when you plan, over these 20 or
so years, to fulfil your hopes and
dreams. For the first time you take
control of your life, and you create
the balance of activities that you
want for the next two decades.
In your Third Act you make a new
set of priorities for your future.
You continue to work, as you did
in your Second Act, but only for
part of the time. You learn, as
you did in your First Act, but again
only part of the time. But, central
to these, you make time for the
pleasures that you always wanted
to enjoy, and for the ambitions
that you never found time to achieve
in the previous 30 years.
The years of your Third Act will
be whatever you make them. This
seminar is about making them the
best years of your life.
